    What We Offer

Academic Planning for High School Students:

Assisting high school students in building a solid academic plan will prepare them for a successful college experience. When we develop a strong academic foundation, we consider the student’s possible major, selectivity of the college, and freshman requirements for private and public universities. Expert Academic Planning goes beyond scheduling classes, it focuses on a four-year plan and takes into consideration a student’s passions and interests. Careful consideration is taken to prepare future STEM majors, as these majors have the most rigorous requirements across universities. We will also explore how you might add summer classes for credit through community college, online options, and pre-college programs.

    • – high-school course review (including Advanced Placement/Honors options); extracurricular review; community service review; summer experience review; internship or work experience review; advice regarding standardized testing (what tests to take when and investment in prep courses).

    Creating a Custom College List:

Develop your college list based on expert insight and guidance to ensure that you are applying to colleges and universities that would be an excellent fit for your unique self. Together, we will explore the nitty gritty details of every school of interest to determine where you should apply. During this in-depth process, we will help you select schools that best fit your personality, interests, needs and goals for the future.

    • – While your college list evolves, we will also ensure that you develop and implement a course of action and timeline to remain on track throughout every element of the admissions process. You will also receive expert advice on whether electing Early Decision, Early Action, Rolling Admission or Regular Admission is appropriate and fits your needs.

    Application Process:

The goal of the application phase is to make sure the student is fully engaged in the application process. The counselor is ready to answer questions and keep the student on task and focused.

    • – application timeline creation; advice regarding early decision, early admission, and early action options; assistance with the common application and school-specific applications; disclosure of special needs; disclosure of special circumstances; reference letter advice; admission essay topic selection; admission essay critique and editing.
