Jared has a BS in Biochemistry from Sonoma State University, a M.Ed. in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Education from Concordia University, and a certificate in College Counseling from the University of California San Diego. He received professional training from the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC).
Working as a private academic tutor and Adjunct Professor, Jared is experienced working with students from all backgrounds. From his tutoring experience, Jared has gleaned deep insight into the high school academic structure, including A-G requirements, AP/Honors course offerings, and transfer credits. Through his work in the University setting, Jared has gathered a wealth of knowledge for GE curriculum as well as degree pathways from all disciplines.
Jared is an astute listener, distilling information from your student quickly to advise and counsel on their academic motivations, career and collegiate aspirations, and personal dreams, to direct them to colleges where they would thrive and should consider applying. Jared provides an organizational structure so students can stay on top of the demands of testing, essay writing, and applying.
